This painting is a part of the 'Cinema' series, where scenes from popular cinema are re-imagined and constructed from images collected from Google.
Keep Right was painted from a collage of imagery found online, some of those images were of a car chase scene from the 1970's cult classic film The French Conection.
My painting shows lead protagonist Jimmy Doyle played by Gene Hackman crashing through a garbage pile on the street, in the film Doyle drives wrecklessly after a criminal in a crowded city narrowly missing cars and perdestrians.
The painting canvas is stretched on Russell and Chapple exhibition stretcher bars made of wood from managed forests.
